26 Feb 5 Ways to Create 5-Star Social Media!
Hey, I want to talk with you about how to create content your readers want to read and listen to. First off is a once a week Motivational post. This can be shared on all your socials all at once. I like to create these posts using our pre-branded motivational quotes. You can use a program like Canva to create these posts and even to create your logo. I thinks it’s best to keep the post short and sweet ie: Motivational Monday! Along with your motivational quote image. I use Hootsuite to send these posts out on multiple channels at once, what a time saver. When you send these posts out you are accomplishing multiple goals.
- Making your viewers happy while spreading positivity!
- Putting your company logo in front of them, free advertising!
Second are educational videos. I’m sure you have seen many of these videos from Gavin and a few from Rudy and myself. You as a Broker have so much more knowledge than the average consumer out there so share your knowledge through short videos. Maybe for more complex subjects you create longer videos with visuals. Some topics you might consider making a video about Title & Escrows role in a transaction, Closing week, Steps to the buying process, What are interest rates currently looking like. The whole idea is that you are putting your face and knowledge right in front of your audience. Try to post a video once every couple of weeks.
“ You as a Broker have so much more knowledge than the average consumer out there so share your knowledge through short videos.”
Third are opinion posts. I’m sure you’ve seen one or more of these on our Facebook. They can be as simple as posting a picture of a beautiful brick fireplace. Then ask the question ‘What do you think of this floor to ceiling brick fireplace?’ Then just sit back and let the conversation begin. The most important part is that you like or respond to any comments that are being made. This is where you are starting to cultivate a relationship with your audience. I heard a great statistic from a smart lady named Wendy Lunt. Once a person has seen your face in video or picture 8 times they have struck up a connection with you. You may not have ever seen/talked to this person face to face before but when you do they will have already made a connection with you.
The fourth form of social media is creating Happy Birthday, Holiday or Special occasion posts. Once again I like to use Canva to create all of these. They have a ton of pre-made and fully customizable templates that you can use. Once you have created your little card you can now post it on whichever social media you want and remember to tag the person/business you are reaching out to.
“ What do you think of this floor to ceiling brick fireplace?’ Then just sit back and let the conversation begin.”
The last but maybe the most valuable piece of content is interview videos. I know this seems like it will take so much time. Here is a great way to simplify the process. Think of 6-12 business people you want to interview (Roofing Contractor, Home Inspector, Insurance Agent). Pick 3 questions you would like to ask each person. Keep the videos short and sweet with good content. As for taping you could bang it all out in one or two days or you could spread it out over the year. Then throughout the year either once or twice a month post one of those interview videos to all the appropriate socials.
